Where Does My Time Go?

Let's answer the age old question of where all of your time is going and I'll give you 5 tips to reclaim your time and help you take control of your life. Here are 5 places your time is going and how to get it back.

Time is not the mystery we make it out to be. We freely give it away.

You're Sleeping Through It

What time do you wake up? What time do you go to sleep? If you are waking up, getting dressed for work, and heading out the door, then you are missing out on valuable morning hours of productivity. By creating a morning routine in which you wake up an hour earlier than usual. You are giving your self-time to wake up at your own pace and slow the day down. If you wake up 2 hours early you are not giving yourself am hour to do something you want to do for yourself like workout, read, or meditate.

You're Giving It To Everything Else

It's okay to be nice and compassionate but it is not okay to be everyone's everything so much that you barely have any time for yourself and the things you want to do. If you find that you don't have time for things you enjoy you can start by looking at how often you are available for other people. Where can you minimize your availability to others so that you can get in more time for yourself?

You're Giving It To Everyone Else

No, this is not a typo. This point is so important that I wanted to address it twice. STOP GIVING YOUR LIFE TO PEOPLE WHO HAVE THEIR OWN! In order to reclaim your time from other people you need to set boundaries, require that the people you allow in your life respect them, and that you stick to them.

You're Spending It Doing Nothing

More than you'd like to believe, you actually have enough time to do all of the things that you want to do but you are wasting it doing absolutely nothing. You're Using It To Fantasize

Truth is you are spending a vast majority of your time waiting, thinking, and dreaming about what you want to do with your life. It is time to get out of the habit if dreaming about it and start doing something about it. Make that shit happen. Get in the game and actually control your life. You can't control everything, but you can absolutely control a lot.
